RENEWABLE ENERGY

Introduction

SSVEC is rapidly transitioning to clean, renewable energy through both large-scale and local solar projects. Since 2016, SSVEC’s energy mix has changed dramatically. Coal went from 80% to 26% boosting solar, natural gas, and hydropower. Solar now makes up over 12% of our energy mix, not including rooftop systems or school-based installations. We're continuing to invest in cost-effective, reliable renewable and battery storage solutions. Learn more below about how distributed generation powers local communities.
