Certainly. Opting out is as simple as replying “QUIT” to the first text message you receive from the Outage Management System (OMS).
Yes. To opt-in after opting out, you have to text the word SUBSCRIBE from that phone to (800) 422-3275. This process is for consumer protection enforced by phone carriers.
SSVEC is offering text notification as a free service to better inform our members, however, standard messaging and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Check with your carrier for more details.
